During an intensive three-day workshop participants will learn basic laser physics and will gain an in-depth understanding of laser-tissue interaction. Hands-on sessions the under guidance of laser dentistry experts will help participants gain insight into the effects of Er:YAG and Nd:YAG on different tissues. Presentations and discussions are led by Laser and Health Academy Lecturers and will cover the basic principles of using lasers in specific dental therapies. The advantages of laser-based and laser-assisted treatments and the effects of various parameter settings will be discussed in great detail.
Live demonstrations in a dental practice will show how laser dentistry works in practice. The Laser and Health Academy workshops are an ideal opportunity for dental practitioners from all over the world to interact and share experiences, ideas and expertise in a relaxed atmosphere.
First day: a theoretical review of the essentials of laser and laser-assisted treatments and laser-tissue interactions, in-depth presentation of procedures and the effects of various parameter settings, with hands on demonstration, led by LA&HA expert lecturers.
Second day: Demonstrations of selected Er:YAG and Nd:YAG dental surgical procedures in a private practice setting, led by LA&HA clinical expert Aleksandra Križaj Dumić, DDS.
