Providing Laser Training Excellence Worldwide

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Laser & Health (LA&HA) Academy Training Center in Malaysia.  Designed to support all Fotona users and practitioners, the new center aims to enhance knowledge, foster collaboration, and achieve clinical excellence. Modeled after the renowned LA&HA Training Center in Ljubljana, Slovenia, this new center boasts a top-tier curriculum and advanced training capabilities.

Comprehensive Training Program

Starting in August 2024, the Training Center will offer comprehensive monthly workshops for the Dynamis®and StarWalker® product lines. Later on, specialized programs in dentistry and gynecology will be introduced, along with advanced workshops in aesthetics and dermatology, to ensure comprehensive education across multiple disciplines.

Grand Opening Highlights

The grand opening ceremony, held at the center on July 6^th, was a remarkable event attended by numerous distinguished guests and industry leaders:

• Alen Zajkesković, Fotona KAM and Program Manager

The ceremony included speeches by Dr. Lucas Chia, the Deputy Minister, and Dr. Matjaž Lukač, LA&HA Chairman. Following the official ceremonies, attendees experienced live demo workshops led by Dr. Lucas Chia, Dr. Matthew Kok, Dr. LF Hooi, and Dr. YF Tan.

Close Collaboration with Dr. Lucas Chia

It is a great privilege that Dr. Lucas Chia, an esteemed and highly experienced physician, will be the main lecturer at our new center. As a Fotona Ambassador and LA&HA International Expert Lecturer, Dr. Chia brings a wealth of expertise to ensure that LA&HA’s training programs are unparalleled in quality and depth.

Dr. Chia is the founder and director of two chains of clinics - IDO'S Clinic (Malaysia) and WeCoMed Clinic (Singapore) - comprising 12 clinics with 25 Fotona lasers. His close cooperation with LA&HA began in 2017 when he started lecturing at the 1^st World Congress of Dermatology in Bangkok. Since then, he has been regularly presenting at LA&HA Symposia and APAC Meetings and has conducted research studies and protocol developments on topics such as eye bags & dark circles, next-level laser toning,  FracRevive® and more.
