Fotona Introduces FracTat™ Tattoo Removal at AMEC 2015
30 October 2015
Attended by over 2000 dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aesthetic practitioners from around the globe, AMEC is recognized as one of the most important international events dedicated to anti-aging skin treatments.
One of Fotona’s reference physicians, Dr. Leonardo Marini, conducted the first ever live demonstration of Fotona’s innovative FracTat™ tattoo removal procedure, which uses a combination of fractional and full-beam Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The innovative FracTat™ treatment creates micro-size holes in the skin over the tattoo area prior to the main laser procedure. This pre-treatment “priming” pass enables steam, gasses and ink particles to more easily escape through the skin during the subsequent full-beam Q-switched pass, thus avoiding the ‘frosting’ effect. This allows for a very short waiting time between multiple passes, which can reduce the typical number of treatment sessions by up to a half.
Throughout the AMEC Paris congress, Fotona's exhibition booth drew the attention of numerous aesthetic practitioners and anti-aging experts eager to learn more about specific treatments that can be performed with Fotona’s advanced laser systems.
