Focus on Fotona at Laser Forum 2012

13 December 2012

During the first symposium session, Dr. Siu-Keung Seto (a LAHA clinical lecturer and Fotona reference practitioner) and panel chairman Dr. Johnny Wong, clinical lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, enthusiastically discussed a number of advanced laser dental applications that can be performed quickly and easily with Fotona’s award-winning, dual-wavelength LightWalker dental laser.

The treatment of melasma with 1064 nm laser attracted substantial interest at the symposium. Fotona is particularly well-positioned to serve the growing demand for melasma treatments with its QX MAX Q-switched laser system that incorporates the industry’s most advanced, high-performance single-pulse technology. In addition, the company’s SP line of multi-application laser systems provides an alternative treatment solution based on a non-thermal Er:YAG “light-peel” procedure, which is the best treatment choice for some cases of melasma.

Fotona’s exhibition booth was a big hit during the symposium and the company’s lasers were featured prominently in local media coverage. Fotona was featured as an example of a responsible medical-laser manufacturer that is committed to ensuring patient safety and providing professional training to users through it’s partnership with the Laser and Health Academy.

The Laser Forum 2012 turned out to be an extraordinary event and a great opportunity for Fotona to expand and develop new business ties in the region.
